Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers Reportedly Spent 10 Days in Rehab

Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who portrayed King Henry VIII in the TV series The Tudors, reportedly spent 10 days in a London clinic last month to seek help for his alcohol addiction.

Jonathan Rhys MeyersA feature on The Daily Mail shared that the actor may have checked into the Capio Nightingale Hospital, in what is thought to be his fourth attempt at rehab. Rhys Meyers is said to have a long history with alcohol addiction.

In May, 2010, he had tried to go into rehab after an episode at JFK airport, where he allegedly screamed at airport staff. The actor had reportedly gotten drunk after drinking vodkas at the VIP lounge of the JFK airport in New York, while waiting to board a flight to Los Angeles. The actor, according to the reports, was banned by staff of United Airlines from boarding his flight because he was drunk.

In November, 2007, the Irish actor was also arrested for breach of the peace, and being drunk, at Dublin Airport; the charges, however, were eventually dropped.
