Justin Bieber Will Take DNA Test to Disprove Paternity Claim

Canadian teenage pop star Justin Bieber is set to debunk allegations made by a fan that he is the father of her baby. Bieber will be taking a DNA test to disprove the claim, and after his name is cleared, he will then file a case against his accuser.

According to reports, the singer will undergo the DNA paternity test upon his return to the United States. Bieber is in Europe at this time and is scheduled to come back to the US in two weeks.

The scandal broke when 20-year-old Mariah Yeater filed a lawsuit alleging that Bieber is the father of her three month-old son. She alleges further that her pregnancy was the result of a quick tryst between her and the pop star, which reportedly happened backstage after Bieber performed in Los Angeles in October 2010. He was 16 at the time.

The “Baby” singer has denied the allegations, and maintains that he has never even met Yeater. In an interview on NBC’s “Today”show, Bieber described the paternity accusations as “crazy.” He has since secured the services of crisis management guru Matthew Hiltzik of Hiltzik Strategies to take care of the situation.

Meanwhile, the New York Post reported that Yeater had initially told an ex-boyfriend that he was the father of the child.

Howard Weitzman, Bieber’s lawyer, has already chosen a lab where the DNA test will be conducted. Once the test results come in and it has been proven that Bieber is not the father, the Bieber camp will, in turn, sue Yeater.
