On Friday, Sylvester Stallone’s 36-year old son, Sage Stallone, was found dead at his Los Angeles apartment. Law enforcement at the crime scene reportedly found numerous empty bottles of prescription drugs, resulting to speculations among Hollywood insiders that the action star’s son may have died due to drug overdose.
However, lawyer and close friend George Braunstein insist that Sage does not have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. “I never knew him to drink alcohol. I never saw him take drugs. I never knew of anything like that at all,” he told E! News.
“I’m going to wait to see what the coroner says. I think it was either natural causes or a terrible accident. I don’t think it had anything to do with drugs, he wasn’t that kind of guy. He wasn’t anyone trying to take his life,” Braunstein adds.
Sylvester Stallone, on the other hand, tells TMZ that he is devastated by the sudden demise of his son and wants “the speculation and questionable reporting” to stop.
TMZ latest report indicates that the death of Sage is now in the hands of LAPD Robbery Homicide detectives and it may probably take four weeks to know the real cause of death.
