Celebrity mom Nadya Suleman has obtained a medical marijuana card, giving her the license to smoke pot to deal with her anxiety.
A source told TMZ that the mother of fourteen got her card two days after she checked out of rehab for Xanax addiction.
The source said the marijuana that Suleman consumes is “primarily embedded in cookies and other bakery products,” adding that octomom believes her children are not at risk despite her “temporary disappearance” to smoke pot.
However, the source made it clear that the 37-year-old controversial mother does not get high on marijuana when the nannies are around.
In October 2012, it was reported that Suleman checked into the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Southern California for her Xanax addiction. During the 30-day treatment, all her children were placed under the care of three nannies and two friends. Suleman’s representative said the famous mom wanted to quit Xanax “prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help.”
Early this month, the L.A. Dept. of Child and Family Services (DCFS) visited Suleman’s residence after a former nanny reported that the octomom has been using drugs, drinking heavily, blacking out, forgetting key appointments, leaving the kids unbathed for days and not changing their clothes for weeks. Following interrogation, the DCFS officials did not feel there was enough evidence to remove the kids from Suleman’s custody.
