What type of home drug testing product is best for marijuana?

marijuana-leafI’m a parent with two older teens and I worry about them using marijuana. I know that my kids have tried this, but I’m concerned with them using this drug and also the potential of it being a gateway to other drugs. I went online to see if there were any home drug testing kits that I can use that will work to detect marijuana in their system.

I found so many of them, most of them work by using a urine sample. From what I understand, the best time to test is in the morning before they have a chance to drink any products that can wipe the substance from their system. I believe that marijuana stays in the system for 7 days when testing through urine, although I have read other places that it only stays in there for 3 days. I also know that there are some detoxifiers that can rid the body of the drug, although I think they have to be taken right before the marijuana test.

I’m wondering which product is best to use when it comes to drug testing for your kids and if other parents out there have also had this experience. Do some products work better than others when it comes to detecting marijuana in the system? And do all recommend that testing be done in the morning or should it be at other times? I realize random drug testing of my kids may seem out of line to some parents, but the way that I feel, if they live under my roof, they need to live by my rules. I am just trying to do what is right for my kids.

One of the many problems with our current drug laws is that they make it easier for high school students to buy marijuana than alcohol. Alcohol is regulated. If an alcohol dealer sells to a teenage he loses his license to sell alcohol. Pot dealers are already breaking the law, so there is no incentive for them to card their clients.

Don’t worry it’s not a Gateway drug, you have been lied to. Drug testing is such an invasion and with proper parenting should not even be necessary. What you should do is Get all the Alcohol out of your house because the stats on Alcohol abuse and accidents among teenagers is staggering. I could not find any negative stats on pot for you though, perhaps Pot abusers Gatewayed to other drugs so fast they didn’t get a chance to rack up some stats.

Look them in the eye and talk to them. That might help more than collecting their bodily fluids.
Have them buy from a dealer that only sells marijuana, that way they won’t be tempted to try things like tobacco, alcohol, or prescription medications.
Random drug testing is going to piss off your kids whether they are clean or not. Talk to them and make sure their life is headed in a positive direction.

I believe the right solution is depending upon the results. If there is a problem with your kids behavior and or school performance etc then you should take the steps needed to correct this. Acting out of fear of what might be is ridiculous. I do know talking and asking straight questions is more desireable then a stronger testing approach. There are kids that need to be tested to stay on the right track.

God made pot. i look forward to the second coming of Jesus so we can get “a ruling from the booth” on this subject. It’s Mother Natures way of saying “hi”. You say I’m wrong? I submit to you, can Satan create? Turn off your narcisstic gadgets and see the forest for the trees before the Lightman comes and shatters your superficial world and reality becomes unbearable.
