Causes of Death of Brittany Murphy, Casey Johnson Revealed February 5
The LA County coroner’s office has handed down a ruling on the deaths of celebrities Brittany Murphy and Casey Johnson. Controversy shrouded their sudden deaths late last year and early this year, and various speculations surrounding their deaths made the rounds of gossip circles.
Brittany Murphy passed away on December 20, 2009. She was found unresponsive in her Hollywood Hills home. Los Angeles Firefighters responded to a 911 call from the home that Murphy shared with husband Simon Monjack, after Murphy’s mother found her unconscious in the bathroom. Emergency responders tried to revive the 32-year-old actress on the way to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, to no avail; she was pronounced dead two hours later.
According to a feature on the Los Angeles Times, the LA Country coroner’s office has classified the death of Murphy as accidental. Her cause of death has been identified as “pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication”. Murphy allegedly went into sudden cardiac arrest as a result of “drug intake”. An autopsy report will be available in two weeks, according to the Coroner’s office.
Meanwhile, the death of 30-year-old heiress Casey Johnson, who passed away on January 4, was pronounced by the LA County coroner’s office as one of “natural causes”. Her death is said to have been caused by diabetic ketoacidosis, which is a complication that happens when the body is unable to use glucose due to lack of insulin; instead, it turns to fat. When fat is used, acids known as ketones “build up in the blood and urine to poisonous levels”.

Diabetes is an unusual and large challenge, but it is done (jay cutler, for example, has type 1 diabetes). My son, a soccer player, also has type i diabetes. Best of luck to austin in managing the condition. It will be hard, but it is possible to live a life with 100% normal activity – takes a lot more work than it will for other people, no doubt about it, but after a while, you get into a rhythm with it, and life goes forward.
