Linsday Lohan has attracted so much controversy in the past years, but rarely has she talked at length about any of her misdeeds in public. Recently, though, she gave one of her most candid interviews with Piers Morgan, courtesy of the Daily Mail, in which The Parent Trap star revealed the few times she’d taken cocaine and why she thinks rehab is a joke.

“Everyone thinks I’ve done it so many times,” Lindsay said when asked about how many times she had used cocaine. “But I’ve only done it maybe four or five times in my life.”

Lindsay also maintained she’s neither taken heroin nor did LSD, but admitted to trying marijuana and ecstasy. And while many people have probably labeled her as an alcoholic or a hopeless drug addict, she strongly pointed out that she has never been a huge drinker or a stoner, saying it has been a year since she last took a drug. Interestingly, she revealed suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) which is why she has to take Adderall to calm down.

“I’ve never been a junkie, and never will be,” Lindsay adds. “I just like going out late to clubs with friends and listening to music. Always have done. It’s not that unusual for girls of 26!”

On May 6, Lindsay was court-ordered to serve 90 days at the Betty Ford Center as part of a plea bargain regarding her June 2012 car crash case. However, she thinks that getting lockdown for three months isn’t what she needs, describing rehab as “pointless” and just “like killing time.”

A few months ago, Lindsay’s lawyer attempted to fix her case by telling prosecutors about her interest to deliver public service messages and perform inspirational talks in schools and hospitals and Lohan also mentioned to Morgan that that’s what she believes would help her.

“… I think there are other things I could do instead of going to  a rehab centre that would benefit  me more,” Lindsay said. “The best thing they could  do for me would be to make me go  abroad to different countries and work with children.”

Lindsay Lohan is getting another opportunity to get her act together. For the sixth time, she will be treated for her substance abuse problems which she continues to deny.

A source told RadarOnline.com that the 26-year-old actress is entering rehab to get treatment for her prescription drug and alcohol addiction.

“Lindsay’s prescription drugs of choice are Adderall and Xanax, and in addition, she consumes large amounts of alcohol — specifically, vodka,” the source said.

Lohan’s attorney, Mark Heller, previously tried to work out a plea deal in order for the troubled actress to avoid going to jail. During Monday’s hearing, Lohan pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from her June 2012 car crash. In return, she gets a 90-day treatment in a lock down rehab facility. The Freaky Friday star also agreed to undergo 18 months of psychological counseling and 30 days of community service in New York.

RadarOnline’s source is hopeful that Lohan’s latest attempt at getting sober will bear better results.

“The main problem when it comes to Lindsay ever getting sober is her absolute denial that she has any substance abuse issues. Once again, she is only going to rehab purely because it’s a slightly more attractive alternative than going to jail. Of course, there is hope that once Lindsay is undergoing treatment she will recognize that she does in fact have a problem — but given her history, it’s very doubtful,” the source added.

Contrary to claims that 24-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan was either under the influence of drugs or was intoxicated when she allegedly pushed Betty Ford technician Dawn Holland, Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan’s attorney, said that Ms. Lohan avoided drugs while in rehab.

According to a report by The Press Association, Chapman gave the following comments in response to allegations that her client was under the influence when she had a row with Ms. Holland: “I had numerous conversations with Betty Ford counsellors and doctors over the course of Lindsay’s treatment there and it was never suggested by anyone that she ever drank or used drugs,” Chapman Holley said. “Her discharge letter from the facility is totally consistent with that.”

Lindsay had allegedly returned to the facility after curfew, and refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. She is accused of pushing Ms. Holland, and the Riverside County Sherriff’s Department had said that Lindsay was in violation of her probation. The Sherriff’s department also said that Lohan should be charged with battery, but Ms. Holland has decided not to pursue charges.

Sgt. Joe Borja of the Riverside Sherriff’s Department did not comment on whether Lindsay was indeed under the influence at the time of the incident, although John Hall, a spokesman for the Riverside County district attorney’s office, revealed that they expect to receive the findings of investigators within the week.

As for Lindsay, more jail time may be waiting if it is indeed found that she violated probation. She is expected to appear before LA Superior Court judge Elden Fox on February 25.

Two opposite stories appeared on the same day in the celebrity news circuit, as one celeb enters rehab, while another prepares to leave.

A story on People.com revealed that David Arquette, who separated from wife Courteney Cox in October, has sought help for “alcohol and other issues.” The announcement was made by the actor’s rep, who did not exactly reveal much; a source shared with People, however, that Arquette was seeking help “for drinking and depression, not hard drugs.” The source went on to say that for the actor, “Rehab was inevitable… He is dealing with a broken heart. He can’t handle all the changes in his life. All his inner demons came out.”

David Arquette revealed on Howard Stern’s radio show that he has been seeing a psychologist once a week, and that his psychologist believed that he was having a “nervous breakdown.”

TMZ reported that Arquette had partied at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year’s Eve, before checking himself into a live-in facility, which was not named.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan is set to leave the Betty Ford Center January 3rd. Over the weekend, the actress posted the following tweet, only her third since Thanksgiving: “Today is the first day of the rest of my life ‘The future depends on what we do in the present.’ -Mahatma Gandhi … One step at a time.”

Before she even left Betty Ford, however, an article on the New York Daily News named her as one of the celebs “most likely to be arrested for drugs in 2011.” Oddsmakers gave Lindsay a 7-2 chance that she will be the first to be busted due to drugs in the new year, after shock comic Andy Dick, who was given odds of 3-1. Other celebs on the list were Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse, and Paris Hilton.

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is trying to get her life back on track, but controversies always seems to get in the way. A post on Drug Free Homes shared the most recent news regarding Ms. Lohan, who has been accused of assaulting an employee of the Betty Ford Center, where she is currently staying.

Dawn Holland, a chemical technician, shared her altercation with Lindsay Lohan to TMZ.com, a decision that eventually led to Holland losing her job.

Holland had alleged that Lindsay and two other residents of the center were caught sneaking back after a night out. The actress was said to be drunk, and Holland had been asked to give LiLo a Breathalyzer test, which the star reportedly declined – in a rather aggressive way, at least according to reports.

In a feature on OK! Magazine, however, Lindsay refuted Holland’s version of the story, saying that, contrary to reports, she was not drunk. She reportedly only consumed Shirley Temples – which are non-alcoholic – while she had her hair done with friends in Palm Springs. She arrived at the rehab center after that night out at 1 am.

One of Lindsay’s friends admitted that she herself had been drinking, but did not say anything about whether Lindsay also did the same.

Another point of contention was the Breathalyzer test. Holland had claimed that the alleged “assault” was brought about by Ms. Lohan’s adamant refusal to undergo testing. Lindsay, however, claims that she was the one who wanted to take a Breathalyzer test to prove that she wasn’t drunk, but it was Holland who would not allow her to do that.

In a previous post, we shared with you the latest in the saga that is Lindsay Lohan, who was ordered to spend another 30 days in jail by Judge Elden Fox. Fortunately for her, that order was overruled by the supervising judge, and she ended up spending only 15 hours in jail and was allowed to post a $300,000 bond.

We wondered about what will be next for Ms. Lohan in the rehab department; the question of alcohol consumption was addressed by an order to have her wear an alcohol monitoring device and to steer clear of establishments that mainly sell alcohol.

Another feature on People.com shared what was reportedly the actress’ next stop: rehab. Apparently, Ms. Lohan intends to voluntarily check herself into a rehab facility soon – despite the fact that she was released early from her court-mandated stay in the UCLA rehab, because the doctors felt that she no longer needed to be there. It now seems that was not exactly the best decision at that point, although we do not claim to have any medical expertise whatsoever and are just giving our two cents.

People shared the following statement, given to them by an unnamed source, who is described only as someone who is close to Ms. Lohan: “She will step up her treatment and do more than what she was previously ordered to do.” The source said that, this time around, the actress is serious about her recovery – although we will have to say that we have heard that before. Could this really be the point where Lindsay will turn her life around?

After Lindsay Lohan’s release from rehab, the judge handling her case set out a path paved for her full recovery and an end to her three-year-old drug cases.

Judge Elden Fox set up a program filled with therapy sessions and a 12-step program meeting for Lindsay’s full recovery. For the remaining 67 days of her sentence, Lohan will be expected to subject herself to drug and alcohol counseling, random drug and alcohol testing several times a week, and attend psychotherapy sessions.

If Lindsay fulfills all these stipulations, the judge will allow her to leave Los Angeles permanently if she wishes and be on unsupervised probation. If things aren’t followed and she fails her tests, she will have to go to jail for 30 days for each violation that she makes.

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lindsay’s attorney, says that her client is eager to show that she can do all the things asked by the judge for her rigid outpatient rehab program. Despite the difficult schedule, her client will go back to working as she is scheduled to return on the big screen with the movie “Machete” by Robert Rodriguez showing on September 3rd.

“She is very serious about her sobriety,” Holley told the judge. “She has changed,” the lawyer said. “She’s healthy. She’s clear-headed. She is positive at looking forward.” Lohan, who was released hours earlier before her lawyer appeared before Judge Fox, opted to skip facing the court again.

His decision to agree for Lohan to be released from rehab was a result of all the medical reports that he reviewed in the course of the three-year-old case. Despite the intense regimen that he issued upon Lindsay, the judge gave her an incentive to succeed as he dismissed two drug counts which the actress pleaded guilty of in 2007.

After serving 13 days of her prison sentence and then immediately checking into a rehab facility, reports have claimed that Lindsay Lohan may check out of UCLA treatment center earlier than the 90-days requirement included in her sentence.  According to sources familiar with her case, she may be allowed to continue her treatment on an outpatient basis. The program at UCLA which deals with Lohan’s case lasts only half the time of what Judge Revel has ordered for her to complete. It can be recalled that the judge gave Lindsay a sentence of 90 days in jail and 90 days in a treatment facility for substance abuse following violations she made on her 2007 probation for driving-under-the influence conviction. Lindsay will likely be an outpatient for the UCLA center or she may complete her program in another facility. The starlet was first released earlier from prison for her good behavior and as a result of overcrowding. Incidentally, Judge Revel who handled Lindsay’s case has removed herself from the case after prosecutors found out that she had communications with those connected to Lindsay’s trial without the presence of prosecutors. Judge Elden Fox takes over as the new judge. In a related interview made by Lindsay’s mom, Dinah, she blamed Judge Revel for putting her daughter in excessive jail time and “played hardball” in the case. She further defended her daughter by saying that she didn’t deserve her prison time which she shared with alleged murderers and other convicted criminals. She confirmed that Lohan will retreat from Hollywood when she gets out of rehab and move to New York. The time she spent in jail had made Lindsay “grow up considerably”, and has agreed to stay out of Los Angeles for a while to completely fix herself.

If you think Lindsay Lohan has faced the toughest time of her life in jail, then wait until she goes into rehab. After spending two weeks in jail as part of her sentence for violations she made in her drug-driven cases, Lindsay is finally out of prison, and heads to the next tougher stage — joining a rehab institution.

On Monday, she was released from the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California and was ordered to go into rehab presumably at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center for 90 days. This time though, Lindsay will have to complete the prescribed number of days since unlike in prison terms, there won’t be a chance for her stay to be shortened due to overcrowding. This won’t be the first time she’ll be entering rehab and with her previous records, this will be something tougher than what she has already gone thru.

Although no confirmation from her lawyers have been released yet, it is said that Lohan will be treated for an addiction on methamphetamine and for bipolar disorder. She will specifically be inside the Matrix Institute on Addictions, an affiliate of the UCLA Medical Center’s Integrated Substance Abuse Program. According to Matrix’ website, why their system works for their patients is heavily attributed to the way their treatment is carried out: (1) Training in relapse prevention; (2) Lifestyle Changes; (3) Family Involvement; (4) Education about Dependencies; and (5) Twelve-step facilitation.

On the course of her stay, she will be undergoing weekly substance abuse testing reinforced with one-on-one counseling sessions. She can also get psychiatric help from the doctors working on mental illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that this time, things will work out for Lindsay, and that she’d get back on her feet in no time.
