Yeater Demands Another DNA Test from Justin Bieber
The charges have been dropped. Justin Bieber has taken a DNA paternity test. But just when one would think that the issue will simply go away, there is yet another development in the Justin Bieber paternity saga: the DNA test he took does not suffice.
Apparently, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber’s accuser, 20-year-old Mariah Yeater, is not satisfied with the fact that the “Baby” singer simply took the DNA test on his own. She is now demanding that Bieber take another test – one where she, her baby, and her lawyers are present, and one where she will actually see Bieber’s cheek being swabbed.
Jeffrey Leving, Yeater’s Chicago-based lawyer, said that his client deserves the right to meet with the star, and to be present for the test. He gave the following demand: “I want a new DNA test with both sides together at a lab in California as soon as possible.”
He also shared that he is currently communicating with Howard Weitzman, Bieber’s lawyer, and that his client has been receiving death threats. Leving was quoted further as saying: “For me to feel comfortable, I want a member of my legal team in the room when Justin Bieber’s genetic fluid is sampled… This case is unique in terms of media interest, celebrity and the amount of potential child support at issue. There could be motives on the parts of many different people to corrupt the evidence.”
